The adrenaline rush of a lifetime.
Today my best friend and I decided to throw ourselves out of perfectly functional airplanes. An INCREDIBLE experience. More on the experience here. |

I'm going to make an attempt to start this photoblog up again...I won't be updating it on a daily basis like I used to, but frankly, I miss updating this thing. :)

The cuddly barista?
I was studying for my pharmacy license exam at a coffeeshop, and this was the name of my barista. :) |

A true pharmacy geek's wedding cake.
I went to a wedding for two of my pharmacy school classmates, and this was the groom's cake. Talk about bringing work not only into your home, but to your wedding too. :P Congrats, Joe & Marissa! |

Teddy bears for lunch!

Closeup on the bears
I hadn't made my bf a lunch in a while, so I thought I'd go with teddy bears this time around. :) |

Lights out!
I went to a drive-in theater! For $5.00 a ticket for two movies, you really can't beat old-fashioned fun like this. More on the experience here. |

"FINISH HIM!!"
Yep, that's my bf playing Mortal Kombat II. We went out to Joystix on Friday night for a night full of friends, drinks, and oldschool button mashing. Oldschool video games + a few drunks here and there = fun for everyone! More on the experience here. |

It's rodeo time!
I went to the Houston Rodeo yesterday! There's just something cool about having people come from all over the country to eat some horrendously fattening food, see some cool animals, smell some of the best barbecue in the nation, and watch a few bulls kick some ass. :D More on the experience here. |

Who's eating the watchmen?
Bf and I just watched The Watchmen over the weekend, so I made a lunch out of it. Smiley face made from egg, blood splatter made from ketchup. Rorschach made from a quail egg and seaweed cutouts. All served with some northern chinese styled stirfried beef.
I haven't been able to get many cool pictures around town since I started doing rotations and whatnot, so nowadays I get pics of the lunches I make, haha. :P |

"Help me!"
Another geeky lunch for the bf. Since this is one of his favorite clips from Family Guy, I thought I'd make a bento out of it. :) Stewie made from cheese & seaweed, served with thai chicken panang curry. I also stuck a lil' bit of curry behind Stewie's diaper, just for good measure (bwahahaha!). Bonus points to anyone who can catch the reference!
P.S. And unlike last time's Star Wars bento, this one didn't have a squish factor. :P |

From 2/8/09:

A lunch fit for a geek.
I made my first bento for my Star Wars geek bf! :)
Ingredients: Top: Strawberry & grape fruit salad, southwestern style nut mix Bottom:- R2D2 made from a hard boiled egg, cheese slices, and seaweed
- Darth Vader rice ball stuffed with chinese bbq pork, wrapped in seaweed, decorated with mayo
- Chewbacca made from chinese bbq pork slices and seaweed accents (teeth drawn in with mayo)
The problem? After making these lil' guys, I realized that both Darth Vader and R2D2 poked up OVER the top of the box...meaning once I capped it, it'd squish them both. FAIL. But either way, turned out that R2D2 was still intact after putting the lid on the box, and Vader's face was kinda smooshed, but relatively intact. Eh, first time for everything, right? :-P |

Good food + Great family = Good times.
I went back to Atlanta for my annual Thanksgiving family reunion. This is the shot of my uncle's backyard...the scenery is just amazing when you see all the leaves changing colors. It was great eating our hearts out, seeing the family again, and just reminding ourselves to be thankful for all we have. :) |

It's what's inside that counts.
I went to see Body Worlds 2 at the Houston Museum of Natural Sciences with the bf and some friends. Truly an amazing experience. I didn't take any photos out of respect for the fact that all the models were once real people, so I swiped this one from a news site. |
